Fire and Fall Back, Casey Vincent's story of three years in the China-Burma-India theater, including the fighting withdrawal of the Flying Tigers from eastern China. Foreword by Milton Caniff.

Clinton "Casey" Vincent was a commander in the Flying Tigers in China. While he died in 1955 at the age of 40, this book was assembled from his diaries that he wrote in China combined with government records and interviews with friends and other pilots. Vincent's candid comments about Joe Stilwell, Claire Chennault, Chiang Kai-Shek, and many others bring new viewpoints to any evaluation of these leaders. Vincent Air Force Base in Arizona was named for him. He became charactarized in the comic strips by Milton Caniff. Included are photographs, illustrations, maps, appendices, a bibliography, and an index.

74 black & white illustrations. With good dust jacket, blue cloth, in good condition.
