Stated from the publisher: "As Yunnan is not dealt with in the volume on China in the Orbis Terrarum series, and as it is most easily reached from Inco-China, it has been included in this volume, and thus the closest connection between the volumes on India and China has been made."

The bottom fore-corner of both the half-title and the title-leaf has been cut away; the missing piece measures 12 x 10 cm, resulting in loss of type, at the publisher's imprint and copyright information, on the title-leaf. Please see the photos. The volume itself is slightly bowed. Otherwise, it is clean and fresh, nicely illustrated, a very good copy. In a good photo-illustrated dust-jacket that is lightly soiled and edgeworn in general, with a few punctures and closed tears, and starting at one fold-in flap.
