• Atlas of Compositae Plants in China, 2 volumes, edited by Chen Yousheng and Wang Long

These two volumes feature 4,849 high‑resolution ecological photographs, each with locality data accurately recorded at the county level. As the largest known full‑color botanical handbook dedicated to a single plant family, it documents 296 genera and 2,533 species of Chinese Asteraceae, with detailed illustrated descriptions of 1,827 species and 16 varieties across 278 genera. For each plant, the handbook provides the Chinese name, scientific name, morphological description, flowering period, geographical distribution, habitat, and usage value. It also reports three newly recorded species for China, including Anaphalis bicolor var. lanata. This work is an indispensable reference for plant taxonomy, biodiversity research, and the development and utilization of plant resources.
